Chocolate Skateboards 30th Anniversary Party

How often do you get invited by two old friends, that you have always held in high regard, to Chocolate Skateboards 30th Anniversary Party? Yeah, like I figured, NEVER! Ben Sanchez and Shamil Randle both call me two days before the party. My mind is instantly overwhelmed with excitement. I assumed it was going to be hard to convince my wife, oddly it was HELLA easy yes. The family and I packed a few things, overslept yet we made it perfect timing. Jumped off the 110 Florence exit, picked up some Woody’s BBQ and then blasted over to my favorite aunt’s house in good Ol’ Inglewood.

My better half and I park our car then proceed to the entrance of the party. RSVP had been closed, man it feels good to know have friends in the right places, thanks Sam Smyth for getting us in the party. Soon as we get in we see a table of EMB heads. I located Ben and Shamil, it was on from there. The three of us were like teenagers again, plus seeing the OG LA homies aka the Menace team minus a few. Man, I felt as if I was on the Chocolate team, thanks to my big brothers, Shamil Randle and Ben Sanchez! Standing in the beer line, I see Nuge standing behind the bar area, in unison we both say, I’m gonna kick you in yo dick! He lets me know the beer was out, I spot some bottles of wine and he finesses me a bottle, From there you will see I had fun n the accompanying photos.
